MyPianist for free until the end of April, 2020

20 March 2020

The COVID-19 outbreak is affecting the daily lives of people worldwide. Its impact on the musical community has been strong, concerts and festivals being canceled and universities and conservatories being closed as a response to prevent the spread of the disease.

To help musicians and students to practice during this challenging time we have decided to open MyPianist for free access until April 30. All of MyPianist's library will be accessible free of charge without any restrictions.

MyPianist is a new accompaniment app for iOS devices created by pianist Juho Pohjonen and Colla Parte Ltd. It acts as a "virtual pianist" for musicians looking to hone their skills and to learn new repertoire. MyPianist's artificial intelligence carefully listens to the musicians's playing and recreates the piano part in real time, responding to the timing and nuances of the live performance.

The library currently includes over 70 individual works for nine orchestral instruments ranging from concertos to sonatas and character pieces.
